The Department of Physics was established in the year 1961 and PG in 1983 with the vision of providing quality education in Physics.

To fostering scientific temperament among students, the department is upgraded as a research centre in 2015.

To enhance academic and scientific knowledge, the department actively organizes conferences, guest lectures, science exhibitions, workshops, hands-on training programs, and industrial visits from the funds provided by various government organizations.
