The department of Physical Education, Health Education & Sports was established in 1990 -1991. It is one among the five Government aided colleges in Tamilnadu recoganised by UGC. The department is equipped with modern facilities to support both academic and practical training including tow indoor stadium with flood light, outdoor sports areas, standard athletic track for running and field events, well equipped fitness centre for the students with 16 stations multi-gym tread mill and modern fitness equipments.

The department organized numbers of tournaments and sports events for the university and various organizations.

Our department organized national level seminar sponsored by UGC, another one from management contribution and two state level workshops. Our faculty member had completed a major and a minor project.

Students who have studied in the department got placed in various educational institutions, industries and uniform services....

Several students were awarded gold medals for obtaining the highest percentage of marks in university examination.

Our students have represented in department in University level, State & National sports events, bringing laurels and recognition.

Our Team has won the overall championship in Tamilandu state Physical Education, Health Education and Sports intercollegiate Tournaments.
